I finally had some success last year planting strawflowers. I wanted to raise enough to make a few dried flower wreaths. Well it worked! I was able to send my niece and nephew a couple of small flower wreaths from my own garden.

I definitely want to expand this year. I also noticed that I need to pick them just before the center fully opens. Otherwise they're prone to mildew. Perhaps the dehydrator is the way to go.

Does anyone have any favorite flowers that dry well? Also, does anyone have any simple instructions for making wreaths out of twigs?

I really want to hand make all of my Christmas gifts this year. And wreaths are a wonderful way to share your garden with loved ones, especially the little ones that live far away.

Peace!

I'd never thought of dehydrating flowers. I wanted to tell you how beautiful that wreath is. You're very skilled at growing such nice flowers.

Don't go with the flow...you are the flow.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
