As some of you know, my Dad has been ill for awhile. I put a longer post on the Hogs and Quiches forum but I wanted to let people know that my Dad died peacefully yesterday after seeing my DD, SIL, and his 2 great-grand-daughters for 4 days over New Years.
Thank you so much to all of you who have walked this difficult journey with me. Your prayers, thoughts and support have meant so much to me. Joey

I am sorry for your loss and the pain you are feeling. So glad that your father seemed to have had time with so many of the important people in his life before passing. I hope that helps to put your heart at ease. There is no way around the period of suffering, you just have to go through it. You are in my prayers.

Oh Joey,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I pray that you can find comfort in all of the wonderful memories you shared with your dad and know that he is at PEACE now. I am glad he was able to spend the time with your DD and his grandaughters too.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Joey--having lost my father in January over 18 years ago, I know how "dark" this month can be. I'm glad that he had time with his family before leaving you. Though it will not bring him back, there are memories that you can hold on to for a time.

Joann, I echo others' sentiments of sympathy. As you mourn keep fast to your "center". I've seen a lot of people "seem" to take a death of a parent OK, and then come apart at the seams. Lots of destructive behavior. Will be praying that you find comfort and peace in the passing.

OH JOEY! I have not been on the forum the last few days. My dear, sweet friend, I am soo, soo sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He was a very blessed man to have such a daughter as you, as so very evident in your letters to me these recent months. I will be writing you! I wish we lived closer. I am sending you big hugs, and my prayers are with you. I am so sad at hearing the news.
