I have mixed feelings about this year. It brought us one of our biggest dreams being met, finally got moved onto some land but also one of our biggest heartaches, losing my Hobbs. With all the end of the world hype about 2012 I'm not sure I'm looking forward to a new year. However if they are right about the end of the world maybe the rapture will happen and DH and I can go join Hobbs!

How about you? Looking forward or dreading the new year?

Audrey

Good boy Hobbs! I love and miss you.

I am ready to put 2011 in it's box and am welcoming 2012 with open arms. It is full of possibility and new opportunities. 2011 was hard and very sad with the loss of our beloved Sky-Dog. I miss her very much and wish she was moving to the new farm with us. I know she would have loved it. I am hoping to really spurr myself to achieve more for our life-goals this year- and focus on the positive.

I am looking forward to all of the opportunities that the New Year holds. The promise of a "fresh start" is always welcome. 2011 was an average year in our house- after putting 2010 to bed with losing both my Grandfather and Dad- it could only have gotten better in 2011. I am anxious to try and de-clutter some closets and to work more so that I can stash more money away for my dream of owning a small vacation home in the coming years.
I wish you all a very Happy Healthy New Year, and may all (or at least most) or our resolutions become realities!
Blessings.

I just had another birthday and it has reminded me that every birthday is a GIFT from GOD!!!
Every NEW YEAR is a gift from GOD!
I try to daily embrace the concept that every new day provides new opportunities . . . how am I going to respond?
Those are what I hold for the future!

As with pretty much everyone here; 2011 has had its ups and downs! Looking back it was a pretty good year though, this year I wish for more peace, and health for all! If you have these, you will have happiness!

2011- Don't let the door hit ya on your way out! I'm not a doomsday person so I don't think the end of the world is coming. I am prepared for it to be more difficult in some ways. I'm looking forward to gardening better, because I always need help in that area. I'll grow some things I've never grown before. I'm hoping to take a bee keeping class and get started with a hive. We are starting our bunnies this last month and are waiting for one more to complete our pet group. We should have both cars paid off in 2012. Yippee! I want to do more canning, apron making, crocheting and learn how to knit socks! I want to pray more. I want to bloom and discover things in me that I never knew were there. And I want all my farmgirls to be right there with me!

Well said, CJ. Julie, it sounds like your farmgirl activities are growing and you will be learning new things. You are inspiring me. I have a spinning wheel that's been sitting in the box for 2 years, unassembled. Maybe this is the time to get it out, put it together, and start spinning?!

CJ, those are some wonderful sentiments. This is a quote I pulled from my Franklin Planner and keep it amongst many on my wall at work:
"You have to count on living every single day in a way you believe will make you feel good about your life- so that if it were over tomorrow, you'd be content with yourself"...Jane Seymour.

2011 offered both carats and callouses. But I am surrounded by the ones I love, and love the ones who surround me of every breed, species and composition.

A Toast to 2011, and Cheers to 2012!! Live on and be Happy!

2011 was an okay year for me, better than 2010 anyways. It seemed to go by fast. I'm not sure how 2012 will be, so far it's not looking great for Jan. - hubby has appt with surgeon for prostate problems and with eye specialist for cataract problems. As for the Dec 21, 2012 world ending speculation, I'd say I'm curious about it. {laughing} Oh well, gives us something to speculate on all year.

For myself and my family? 2011 was a Very rough year and I am happy to bid it goodbye!
I am very hopeful for 2012, and have some goals that I am determined to achieve. Health, spiritual growth and learning to take life day by day in a better light, with God,s strength and guidance each step of the way!

Wishing each of my farmgirl sisters, a blessed and joyous New Year!!

Blessings,
Linda

Don't go with the flow...you are the flow.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

I am ready to exit out the 2011 year. After becoming a grandmother to a beautiful baby boy for 8 months. Then losing him was to much on my heart. Also just lost a wonderful daughter in law to be. I am ready for 2012 . In hopes that I might see my grandson again. Going to concentrate on expanding my garden this year. Happy new years to every one. May you have a blessed year.

Seize The Day!
