hey Cheryl...I am the same way! I also used to pay that too...but now I really won't. I saw online where you can design and print your own brochures, and thinking that would probably work for cards too. I was thinking seriously about doing that myself!

Hmm, well if you have a Sam's Club or Costco nearby you might want to check there. I have a box of 52 cards for all occasions that I got at Sam's. I can't remember the price but I'm sure it was less than $10. Places like TJ Maxx and Marshall's also have boxes of cards on deep discount sometimes.

Hi Cheryl, our local Costco carries cards in a set of 24 for about $13.00. The only problem being that they are not always available and when they are, they sell quickly. It is a smashing good deal, so if you have a Costco locally, check it out. I imagine you could go to Costco.com and do some research as well.
If you are looking for handmade cards, try Etsy. There is a search box you can use to find the lowest price in the handmade card section and you may find some really good deals. I sell cards on Etsy as well, but with shipping, my cards are about $4.00, so they are about the same price as a supermarket greeting card. Except that they are way cooler.
What a great idea you have....cards are a billion dollar business in the US. Good luck and keep us posted!

Great idea! Have you considered your dollar store? I seldom buy cards anywhere else these days!

I started making my own because of the price of cards, I try to make at least one card a day and stock pile so I have what I need at that time, Jill Lillian |

In my little town, people are making greeting cards of certain locations; courthouse, city hall, schools, etc... They are doing pen and ink drawings of these places. They are selling like hot cakes! Just an idea. Marly
