After my long illness, I am just now starting to clean up clutter. I think I missed out on renewing my MJF magazine. No wonder I haven't received a copy lately. Yikes. I found not one, but about 4 renewal notices in just one pile.

I'm going to dare to clean the other "pile" that lurks in my computer area.

kristina,
It happens to the best of us. Things get overlooked and misplaced especially at busy times like the holidays. Good for you for clearing out a pile...wonder what is lurking in my pile!

Aaaah! The dreaded pile! It would be so much easier to take care of things as you get them, but why do that when you can just stack them up and save 'em for later?? At least you have a good reason for not taking care of them.....procrastination is the only excuse I can come up with!

So glad you are feeling better! :)

My DH and I were just talking about this - how we accumulate stuff in piles and easily overlook something important. One of my new years resolutions is to reduce the amount of clutter (and piles) in my office. Its long overdue... Glad you're feeling better.

As far as papers go, my problem is I don't want to throw anything in the recycling that has my name and addy on it. I put it in a pile and there it sits. I think the the thing to do is have an area designated for mail with one of those simple organizers where you can separate the mail by type or importance. Then have a shredder underneath so you can just shred the junk right away. Think I will be investing in a shredder this year!

I typically keep the computer area clean, but getting sick, it piled up. Then the holidays and baking......
I started on the other pile and ended up putting several cookbooks up for barter. I have yet to finish it, but will get it done. Gosh I miss my magazine.

I managed to renew my subscription but have let my reading get behind. I'm still working on the fall (October) issue! Yikes!

Audrey, I had to laugh. I am sure that if my magazines were still arriving, I'd also be reading that far back.

Clean the Clutter! are you Nuts! then our families would know we really don't have anything to do, no busy work!!!! lol! Leave the clutter,,,,that way they won't give ya more stuff to do! Oh and while your at it, sprinkle a little flour on your nose & chin so your families think you have been slaving in the kitchen.lololol!
just a little silly New year humor from my clutter to yours!

I just cleaned out a drawer and have a nice stack of 12 magazines to go through!

My best mail organizing tip I can give is to keep a mail basket and drop the mail in, but don't go through it except once a week. I take a glance to make sure it's nothing emergent but 99% of it can wait till I do bills on Fridays. I shred papers when I need bedding/mulch.

I just move my clutter from place to place or so it seems. I go through a pile and then another pops up. I don't think I will ever get ahead of it so I don't worry about it.

My hubby is also a stacker of magazines he has to catch up with. A paper stacker, too. LOL
