The almost-ours-farm heats with fuel oil. As we've been working there, we've been keeping tabs on how much fuel oil is being used to heat the house. It appears it's been using about five gallons a day. I'm wondering if anyone else here uses fuel oil and what their usage is per day? The farmhouse is a story and a half, 1900 square feet. The thermostat is set at 60 but the actual temp in the house appears to be 70. My husband is in the process of changing out all the thermostats (because the ones in there are pretty old and maybe not accurate) but we were just wondering what everyone else's usage was. We intend to switch to an outdoor system (wood) but its not in the budget until next year.
