Well, our heat pump finally gave up the ghost. For the past 3 mornings, it has been 45 in our bedroom. Woohoo! lol. Pretty bad when you can see your breath in your home. Luckily, we do have a small propane heater in the bathroom and just got a woodstove fireplace insert, which helps greatly. Even so, today is supposed to be the day that our repairmen finish the installation on the new system. I am SOOOO excited. We doubled the tonnage rating and the SEER rating. Can't wait to see what she does!!!

Not to mention that we also will be totally finishing the upstairs wall...three years in the making. Going to cover it with tongue/groove pine. Yes!

Think Miami and do some baking. The thoughts will be pleasant and you will keep yourself busy with the baking so time flies.

God bless,

Oh Amanda:
Texas is close to Louisiana. It got COLD here last night. It must have been cold in Texas also. Keep warm. I have a heater that works and I still had two layers of fleece on. Even my hubby laughs at me, but I can't take that cold. It was 27 degrees this morning. I don't know what those farmgirls in the northern states do. LOL. My friend from Wisconsin tells me "you just have to grow-up in the cold weather" then you adjust. Not me. So, to all you northern state farmgirls------ stay warm.

I forgot to turn the heater on in the kitchen last night. I woke up to a 35* kitchen!!! I can take the cold, but I don't like it. I am one of those who wears mens insulated hunting socks all the time(even with my slippers), and I tend to layer up pretty thick.

I will say, I prefer it cold to hot. I can layer up to keep warm, but a person can only take off so much when it's hot. Esspecially in public!!!!
