Well can't comment for some reason on your blog, but...my favorite tradition is having all the family here when the tree is put up, and with each ornament, we tell a story on why we love that paticular one the best, I remember making that one in 1st grade, I remember buying that one at a ornament sale because it reminds me of Grandma, Dad, or...this is the one from my 1st fair/4-H project that I won a blue ribbon, this is a peice of my wedding cake inside of a clear glass ball, these are the ones with pieces of our hair from our 1st haircuts, these have pictures of our pets that have passed inside, along with their collars, and many, many more...

For some reason I could not leave a comment on your blog but of course would LOVE to be entered into your giveaway! My favorite ornament was your candy apple- but I really liked the wine cork horse too- I actually have one just like it that I got from my grandmother years ago.

I too tried to enter on your blog...Anyway here's what I typed there...I loved seeing ALL of the different ornaments,my favorite is the basket of yarn,adorable! I have carried on the tradition my grandma started with me when I was a baby...I buy each of my children and now gradnchildren a new ornament each year.Sometimes they are about something special they did that year others just ornamnets that I see (after looking at dozens and dozens...lol! That I just really like and they all get the same one then.
The other tradition we have is that we go to atree farm and each of the kids take turns cutting the tree till it is down.Then we stop and get something to eat on the way home and have hot cocoa when we get home.Thanks for sharing your oraments and the stories behindf them. |

Normally I would go sit out by the mail box 'till my package arrives,,,but it is buttcrack cold out there so I think I will hoover by the front door window and watch for the mail carrier from inside my warm home! lol!
