It wasn't really a hint, but I wouldn't object to seeing the recipe shared.

Cinnamon Honey Butter
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup honey
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Mix ingredients and spread on toast, biscuits, pancakes or waffles. Store in refrigerator, tightly covered. (Source: Old-Fashioned Honey, Maple Syrup, Sorghum Recipes, by Bear Wallow Books)

Candy Apple Jelly
48 ServingsPrep: 10 min. Process: 5 min.
Ingredients:
4 cups apple juice
1/2 cup red-hot candies
1 package (1-3/4 ounces) powdered fruit pectin
4-1/2 cups sugar

Directions:
In a large saucepan, combine the apple juice, candies and pectin.
Bring to a full rolling boil over high heat, stirring constantly.
Stir in sugar; return to a full rolling boil. Boil for 2 minutes,
stirring constantly.
Remove from the heat; skim off any foam and discard any undissolved
candies. Carefully ladle hot mixture into hot sterilized half-pint
jars, leaving 1/4-in. headspace. Remove air bubbles, wipe rims and
adjust lids. Process for 5 minutes in a boiling-water canner. Yield:
about 6 half-pints.
(Source: Taste of Home Recipe Book)

I have been making the candy apple jelly for a few years and my family, teachers, etc. loved it. I have not made the honey butter before, but it should taste great with the cinnamon in it too.

Thank you for posting the recipes, Kristina!

I made the Candy Apple Jelly this year too.
I used apple cider instead of juice though. And since I couldn't find the candy red hots anywhere at the time, I used a bottle of them from the cake decorating aisle. It was less than called for but still very tasty!

I try to use new ideas for homemade gifts every year. Last year I crocheted a round dishcloth in Christmas colored yarn, then wrapped it up underneath 1/2 pints of jelly, ran a ribbon through the edges and tied it around the jar. I also dried rosemary for a gift one year.

Kristina,

too funny I was just going to come post about the taco seasoning mix. We had tacos the other night and hubby loves the mix I make. Thought it would be a good gift for his family. Now he tells me. That's ok, I'm filling all this for next year, since we are done with gifts on his side. We also made some BBQ rubs I think I'll add to the list especially for his brother.

A photo of how I did my own jar using clip art. I'm not sure how I will label my gifts yet. Maybe the same way and embellish the lids.

Thanks to my talented farmgirl friends, Kristina being one of them, I have some wonderful, beautiful crocheted and/or knitted items to give as gifts. I sew, papercraft, bake, can . . . blah, blah, blah and can do all kinds of gifts. But I don't know how to crochet or knit!!
THANKS FARMGIRLS for helping me out!

I am up to my eyeballs in rag rugs for Christmas gifts! aacckk! what was I thinking...ok, gotta go, workng on a rug tonight !lol!

Hey Kristina, luv the Taco seasoning idea (luv the label idea too!) as well as the Candyapple Jelly....sure would be a lot quicker then crocheting rag rugs! :>)
I am writing a 'post-it' to my self right now to make the jelly for next year...but I had better start crochetting washrags now to wrap the jars in! :>)

Thanks for posting the recipes. The taco seasoning mix looks great. I always use my own seasoning instead of a pre-packaged seasoning, and this recipe looks much better than what I've made. I can think of several people who would love this as a gift.

Warmly,

I think I will make 2 more jars of the cinnamon honey butter. This is the last year I will (gulp) ever have a child in elementary school and riding the elementary bus. I think I'll give one to the teacher and the bus driver too.
