I have finally gotten back my brother after years of estrangement due to his wife does not like our family. David has gotten sober and has stood up for himself and started to take care of himself just to find out he has cancer. He has a lump in his throat and a large growth in his colon so big it is almost completely blocked the colon. He is so scared, and impatient. They are talking of not doing anything for his throat until his colon is healed from the surgery then cut his throat and do chemo and radiation. I do not want to lose him again, he is my big brother and had always been my friend. He called yesterday to confirm their were grave sites still available from our grandparents. So sad and on top of being unemployed I have been twisted up about it.
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult. - E. B. White
You are in my prayers Judy. DH and his family are estranged so I understand the pain of seperation. Be glad that you can be with him now to help him through this trial.
Judy, so sorry that you all have to go through this. So sad for these circumstances, but so glad that you were reunited. I'm sure that having you there for him means the world to him. Will be praying for you all.
My brother just had his colon surgery and it seems to have gone OK. They are questioning his lymph nodes and have said that this is stage 4 cancer along with his throat tumor.
I am praying for your and your family. I have witnessed many healing miracles including that of my son this thanksgiving from a stroke so please know that this can happen. Be in the present moment because that is all that is given to any of us and love the time you are with him in mind, body and spirit. You are loved and prayed for.
