Just an update: the final FINAL answer came today. Hubs was holding out hope (told you he's the optimist), but it's official. Thanks again for all the prayers.

Sometimes when we get an answer we do not like or wish we want to fight against it as if we can change it but if we lean into it it just might have been the right answer we could not imagine.... I am there with your husband - I sometimes think I can control an outcome but then I listen, pray and be still and lean.. Not my favorite thing to do but I think that is why it is there - to teach us to bend.

Hubby expected to be treated the way he would treat others - he's a very honorable man. I had to remind him the decision was business, not personal, and welcome to the corporate world. He's still a bit mopey this morning, but he'll get over it. He needs to embrace what he's been given. I spent yesterday afternoon borderline hyperventillating waiting to hear what would happen, but now that I know, I feel 100 pounds lighter (the load lifted from your shoulders diet LOL).
Thanks again, all!
