Hi Farmgirls,
I was just getting out all my Tasha Tudor holiday story and crafts books and thinking how much I love her work.
Anyone else a big fan?

I just pulled out my Take Joy! The Tasha Tudor Christmas Book from my stacks today...I just love Tasha Tudor.
What it must have been like to actually live like she did, defying conventionality...just being who she was! I really admire that.

Count me in with the Tasha Tudor fans! Melody, I also have her Take Joy christmas book which is just the sweetest collection of stories and beautiful traditions. She was an amazing lady and an artist extraordinaire! I wonder if any of her children took up painting? She would have been wonderful to know and talk with. Talk about a true farmgirl at heart!

I have the Take Joy! Christmas book, too - the same one I had as a child. I LOVE it!

Take Joy Christmas has to be one of the best...I glanced through again and found one of my favorites Lo, How a Rose E're Blooming---now it's stuck in my head! It is a treasured book!

If you want to see some of the Tudor traditions in action and hear her voice, there's a Take Joy! video. Last time I checked, it was available on the Tasha Tudor family website, but I checked it out from my public library. Very neat. She's got sort of an old New England accent. |

I have a few books from her collections, stationery and etc. I love her originality especially her old-fashion ways in the modern world. |

I just got THE PRIVATE WORLD OF TASHA TUDOR book from our second hand book store. I've never read it before, but I got a few minutes to flip through and the pictures of her real life animals, farm and garden look amazing. Hoping to get a chance to sit down and really go through it this weekend.

We're big fans, here in Kentucky. I've been reading about her since I was small, and was introduced to her "world" by Victoria Magazine when i was a teenager and my mom bought me the subscriptions. For my Godson's christening, I sent to the Tudor studio and bought her illustrated Child's Garden of Verses, signed by her to my Godson. Sadly, she passed a few months after that, so I'm very grateful to have purchased it for him (even though he likes Star Wars more than anything...) With my little girl, we read many of her books and since we just wrapped up Halloween, we read Pumpkin Moonshine quite a bit. That's now what Violet calls Jack o Lanterns!

Tasha Tudor's books have always been very important to me and my family. So important that I named our two corgis Tasha and Owyen (after her favorite corgi). When I was little my mom put on a Tasha Tudor inspired birthday party for me and my girl friends which is a wonderful memory :). I've also put out my copy of Take Joy! and every year the advent calendars go out.

Hi I'm a new fan of Tasha Tudor. I just recently bought a stack of her books for an estate sale. I love her work and her way of life. Now I'm hook and I look for her books where ever I go. I would love to find a copy of Little Women or her cookbook. |

On Amazon.com you can get The Tasha Tudor Cookbook: Recipes and Reminiscences from Corgi Cottage for less than $6 used. The Buttery one is more money but is still available through Amazon.com too. I have both and love her work. |

I am a Tasha Tudor fan as well. I have The World of Tasha Tudor and I saved all of the old Victoria magazines that had articles about her. I didn't know that she had passed until I saw the tribute in Mary Jane's Farm. Such a beautiful soul and she had so much wisdom to pass along. Whenever I see a Corgi, I always think of Tasha Tudor.

I love everything Tasha Tudor! She was an amazing gardener and had such an inspiring homestead. Her buttery shelf cookbook is one of my favorites -for the potato salad and pie crust recipies. Yum!

I almost had a stroke and felt like Super Book Saver Woman as I swooped it up and put it in a safe place far from the scissors Queen. Also grabbed a Holly Hobbie story book from her . Sorry mom I had to save them for the good of Fans every were. ~ Peace for now. |

Several years ago, my doll club chose to create a doll inspired by the Tasha Tudor book "A is for Annabelle (or is it Abigail?), my grandmother's doll". I made a 15" porclain head, arms & legs and cloth body doll. We were to create every accessory, fashion or furniture for the doll. I made several dresses, crochet'd a snood, and got a china tea set for her. All of her things are in her own trunk. I never completed the collection. I also found a pattern for a 5" Annabelle dolls too. I should someday finish her collection.

I too am a huge fan of Tasha Tudor. I remember seeing a special on her on PBS and I fell in love with her style. So inspiring in every way.

For you Tasha Tudor fans, you might enjoy my blog about the times when I visited with Tasha at her home, Corgi Cottage. Here is a link to the piece that I posted today: http://visitstocorgicottage.blogspot.com/2015/01/stitched-by-hand.html. Sometimes the postings are stimulated by followers who ask questions, such as the person who wanted me to describe times when Tasha and I sewed together. I hope your enjoy these special memories.
