Well, I've officially been a Mom now for two days. It is definitely a HUGE change from being just a wife.

I had my first baby on Thanksgiving at home with a midwife and my husband in the room and my parents just across the hall in the guest room. :) He was born at 11:24 AM on 11/24; 8 lb 10 oz; 23 inches long with 3 1/2 inch FEET! Biggest darn baby feet I've ever seen. It was a super intense, almost 5 hour labor, and I'm feeling much, much better today than I did yesterday!

I will update the blog at some point today with the birth story and pictures for everyone.

*UPDATE*
Pics are up on the blog :) At 4 days old, Ty is such a joy. He only fusses when there's a darn good reason, I hope he stays like this!

We're still working out the name, it's hard to get to know him when he's so sleepy :) But I think we're getting close!

Thanks, ladies :) I am so happy with him. He's perfect. And I know I'm emotionally and hormonally biased, but I'm also right ;) heheh.

Updated with details and pictures for you to see :) No scary pics, I promise, it was a no camera zone during the action ;)

Natalie, I've been thinking about you and wondering when the little guy would put in his birthday appearance! I'm so happy that you and your son are doing well ((((HUG)))) Now, when he becomes an obnoxious teenager you can remind him that he's Thanksgiving turkey
I wish you much joy in motherhood and joy in life!

hugs!

Comgratulations! Baby's no matter when they come are just great. Every so many years I get to celebrate my teenage son's birthday on Friday the 13th. I love the comment earlier about when he get's older teasing him he is the thanksgiving turkey, watch he will think it's funny when he is younger and may even want to dress up for halloween as a turkey.(((Hugs)))

God bless,

Judy

Ty looks great and so does his very proud daddy and extremely happy mom. I love those post baby hormones that help you forget any pain and only stare in awe of this great little one you have. Congrats to all of you.

Congratulations Natalie to you, your hubby and the new grandparents on the birth of your son. Nw the fun begins! Treasure every moment, the years pass too quickly. Make sure you take lots of pictures. Get a couple of him bare butt naked running around playing to blackmail him with when he's a teenager. LOL Boys do not like for their girlfriends to see their nakey butt baby pictures. They'll even vacuum for u if they think those pictures are going to get shown LOL. Mom of 2 grown men who were once the cutest little nekky butt boys ;)

You guys are a really cute family. Judging by his feet, he'll be a strapping boy. Enjoy him! My first labor came in at 29 1/2 hours. I was fairly certain I was "dying." I think it lasted so long because I was scared to death!
