Margo...Huge Farmgirl Hugs My Friend! I am glad that you reached out with your honest feelings to your sisters here. We will wrap you up in our prayers and ask God to wrap you up in His arms of Love and Comfort in a very scary time for you. Please do not hesitate to email me if you need a shoulder to cry on and someone to vent to. All of us are here for you. One of our Porchies...Darlene Roboldi is going through what you now face...and I am sure there are many more that we don't even know about. You are not alone! You are not alone! It's scary, and numbing, and unthinkable that your name has the "C" Word attached to it... but you are not alone!
Love and Prayers, Peggy

Margo, You are in our nightly prayers. I am so sorry that this is the news received, but now there is action to be taken and at least you know what to expect. As farmgirl sisters, we will all do our best to help keep your positivity, because I'm sure you've heard, when you're low, so is your immune system and we need to keep you up, up, up!!!

| Only the biopsy will tell for sure, it could be nothing. We're hoping for nothing, my mom had something similar. They said cancer, she had a huge lumpectomy, and then everything came back negative. So lots of positive vibes! You definately have my prayers! |

Margo, I will continue to pray for you. I am surprised that a doctor would "say" anything BEFORE a biopsy. I pray that he is incorrect in his assumption that your lump is cancerous, but I know that you have farmgirl spirit and that you can face this head on and conquer it! We are hear for you as sisters and friends and of course if you need a sounding board, words of encouragement and the power of prayer you are in the right place. Blessings to you- if there is anything we can do from afar- please do not hesitate to ask.

Margo, I'm happy that you've asked for our prayers and support. We are a sisterhood of loving compassionate souls, and I'm sending prayers for comfort and strength to you tonight. If you do have cancer, the most important advice I can give you is to take extra care of yourself, get enough sleep, eat nutritiously, make sure that you drink enough water, your body is going to need this extra care and effort for the fight ahead. The other thing that is the hardest thing in the world right now is to have an up beat and positive attitude about winning this fight. Prayer and meditation help beyond belief! Continue to live as normal a life as you can, do things that you enjoy. You are in my prayers and I will be sending them as well as farmgirl long distance hugs
Love and hugs

Margo,I too am so sorry to hear about this pending diagnosis and sending prayers your way. One thing that may be helpful to do right now is see if you qualify for Medicaid to help with all of these medical expenses. In most states, the information is online and you can usually speak to someone at the same office where people go to sign up for food stamps. If you qualify, that would at least help you with all of the tests run so far and the expenses of the biopsy. And, if further treatment is indicated, you are going to need some help. The oncology office where you went may also have a resource person who can help you with how to investigate Medicaid and whether you qualify. In addition, there may be other state assistance programs you might qualify for to help cover medical costs. Good Luck, and we all understand how the waiting is such a huge burden! All of us farmgirls are here for you no matter what lies ahead.

winnie...thanx for suggesting the state help..,you are spot on and i hope someone else sees your comments if they need help.....i am working thru the county health dept; the bcccp program (breast and cervical cancer control program)--they did the office exam and gave me a voucher to go to the hospital for my dianostic mammo and ultrasound so so far so good. they will pay for the consult that i had and the biopsy. if i do, in fact, need chemo etc they will enroll me in medicaid so things are covered-otherwise in michigan i cannot get medicaid =no funds for the "simply uninsured"--it sucks not having insurance cuz i was always proactive and preventative about everything.....
it is enough stress worrying about the cancer and treatment...i feel blessed to know that these resources are available.....

laurie..i have to address your very valid comment at surprise for the dr "saying" anything..i truly believe he did it to assure/convince/frighten/whatever me into following up because i had said something about putting off going in past because i didn't want to waste anyone's time or the resources and equipment if there was nothing wrong--- i think he was trying to impress the severity of the situation...and it worked!he was quick to say that he was not 100% positive and that the biopsy would give results needed to determine treatment etc... i felt very comfortable with him and his responses, etc..just -he had cold hands!

yesterdy, i created a carepage (Lumpynme)(online-like caring bridge) which i will be able to share with my kids and family so that they can get updates and i won't have to call everyone...my exDH (whom i live with) tends to confuse info sometimes so it will assure that the correct info gets out there. i have not shared the page info yet with my kids -first i need to call them and tell them what's going on...
i hesitate to tell them til we have diagnosis yet the holidays are jumpin at us-i'll be with them in 3 weeks (whooooooooooo hoooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and i think they need to know before i get there so we can focus on the holidays not my boob....
1n 1999, when i divorced their dad; he was diagnosed with prostate cancer and they just this summer lost their grampa stan...so i am not too keen on lumpy's timing here but--this weekend i will call each of them..... so this week, i am moving forward on doing things around the house that need to be done and this is finals week at school...and getting ready for my trip home to spend Christmas with my kids....
i continue to thank you all for your support and prayers and encouragement.......i feel the warmth of your hugs.....

Hi Margo,
It's so hard, the waiting and not knowing (even when you suspect you know). Take this one day at a time, and remember that even if it's the worst, many women survive this. I am not trying to make light of this; it is really important to realize that you can get through this. Take good care of yourself and pamper yourself a little bit while you wait for the biopsy. I am praying for you and sending good thoughts. Please let us know how you are doing.
(((Hugs)))
