Ok, I have all my windows open right now. And they have been open for several days. I am NOT complaining at all, believe me. In fact, I am loving this! We will only have one morning in the low 30's this week but the days in the high 50's low 60's. This reminds me of how our falls and winters USED to be several years ago. I used to just wear a light sweater. But the past few years it's been down jackets and scarves and gloves. And 2 down comforters on the bed. So yeah, I am lovin' this alot. And I have only had to haul hot water to the animals ONE time so far! ONE time!

And I just read that if hornet's nests are way up high that we will have a very mild winter. I thought it was the opposite. I saw a hornet's nest in the eaves of a barn back during the summer. And I was scared. But now I am not. I haven't seen a single wooly worm though.

Hey Kris:
Woke up this morning to really cold air outside!! LOL. Well, cold for Louisiana in November. 50 degrees. It is supposed to get down to 32 degrees tonight. I am wearing fleece. I'm sure the girls in the northern states are giggling. That's okay with me. I love the cold weather but have to be dressed for it. How is the weather there Kris?

Hey Marly. It's not too cold but it's wet and rainy. I had to go out in it this morning to feed the animals and got wet and chilled. Now I can't seem to get warm enough. Yesterday it was warm outside but freezing inside so I made a fire. Then this morning it's cold. So I do have the heat on right now just to knock the chill off. I don't like getting wet. I just want to curl up in bed for awhile but have to go to my mom's for dinner. I hope you stay warm!

Hi Marley, ok, I guess I'm giggling! It gets really cold at night (frost on the cars in the morning), but lately the days feel warm, especially with the sun shining.
We did have some snow a few weeks ago (very unusual!), but now it's awful warm for the end of November!
Hey, I'm happy to enjoy whatever weather comes along! Yea, check back with me in January - brrr!! ----Lisa

Well!!!!! Tina, my dear, LOL...A tank top????? I am layered with fleece!!!!! It is now 47 degrees and dropping. In Louisiana, we are NOT used to cold weather. This passed March, I went up to Wisconsin. OMG!!!!! I had to borrow wool socks, wool sweater, etc...
Yes, they were all laughing but all in good humor. I certainly laughed with them. However, when my friends come to Louisiana, their favorite comments are "OMG it is soooooo humid and hot".......
Did I mention I moved my electric blanket to the den while I am watching my beloved football games?????? I am keeping warm. LOL
Lisa: Giggles are good. I'd probably be crying if I were up there. Keep warm.

Now snow. It has rained for 3 days non stop now we are getting snow. And it's COLD out there. And ponds and rivers. I am using lots of hay right now because the goats and sheep will not go outside if their lives depended on it. Hay is heavy. And I end up wearing it the rest of the day.

Marly, what's up in your neck of the woods?

Kris:
No snow for us. We only get snow every 8 to 10 years. It has been cold, for Louisiana, for the last three days. It is supposed to get to the high 60's today. I have had enough! My outside cats are looking for any sun spots they can find! My dog, Luck Dog, is smart like your goats and sheep; he refuses to go out. Last night, I watched the football game (THE NEW ORLEANS SAINTS WON!!!!), and tried to get Luck to go out, to no avail. Well, this morning I was cleaning up poop. Oh, well....
Stay warm, Kris.

Hey Marley and Kris, you've got my weather!
It's been very warm and there's some rain, but it's clearing up now - I can see the sun peeking through! Yesterday it broke some records, it was in the 60's, and should be thereabouts for the rest of the week!
I'll send it your way!

Hey Kris!

It's warm here today too, but today it's raining a bit. Yesterday was lovely. Such a nice change from the extreme cold we had a few weeks ago...
Okay, so what does this mean? I saw a wooly worm in the driveway this morning, and a huge wasp nest laying on the ground by the shed. Does that mean warm winter or bad one? The wooly warm was mostly black. Hugs! Enjoy your warm weather, darlin'!

Sunny, warmer than normal, a bit unusual for Colorado this time of year!! Crystal, clear, glorious blue skies . . but that's all the time for Colorado (unless, of course it's snowing or raining!)

Nicole, I always thought the higher the hornet's nest was, the higher the snow would be. But I read something the other day that said the total opposite. I have heard a few weather peple saying that our winter here should not be near as bad as the last 3 years has been! I am happy to hear that. And the all black wooly worm is a sign of a bad winter. But then I also read that that particular wooly warm is a different brees altogether from the orange and black wooly worm. So who knows?

Lisa, you are way warmer up there than we are down here. We'll be in the 40's all week during the day with lows in the 30's and 20's at night. I am ready for summer!

CeeJay, my brother and sister live in Col. Springs. Last year we got way more snow than they did there.

Tamara, you got us beat up there too. I am jealous.

Marly, I am trying to keep my dogs in while it's wet. They are worse than kids tracking mud and water in. My floors are a mess right now.

There is snow up on the mountain right now. Very pretty but it needs to stay up there.

I agree, Lisa. Well, here in SW Louisiana, we warmed up the last three days to the 70's. However, that cold air is coming back down. By Wednesday we are supposed to have low temperatures in the 30's! I'll bring out the fleece again. LOL. I'm ready for summer!!!!!!

It's raining here agian. And warm too. But when I go outside to feed animals, I get wet and then can't get warm. And the dogs stink! Oh my goodness, I have wet towels from drying them when they come inside but they are still damp and they sure do smell like nasty wet dogs. And when I sprinkle the homemade carpet freshener, they don't like it. Bubba won't lay on his big pillow, I guess because it smells better? It's a good day to stay inside. All the animals have dry barns and plenty of hay to munch on for the day.

We are supposed to start getting colder at night here. Like high 20's.

Me too! I could skip winter all together anymore. I was watching Live With Kelly this morning and they have discovered another planet 2 1/2 times bigger than ours but with a temp of 72 degrees. Sounds like a great place to live. That's about my ideal temperature.

Hi
Its 2 pm, 32 degrees and it started snowing this morning, itti bitti flakes.
Snowing a little harder now. This is our darkest time of the year about 6 hours
of light. The last few days have been clowdy and gray. 72 degrees sounds like HEAVEN!

Hi Debbie. Sounds cold and dreary and dark there. How do you make it through days like this there? I could not imagine no daylight at all for a few weeks. I would want to just sleep.

It's cold here today. And it rained and will be raining today. I moved the sheep back over so they can get in their little barn to keep dry. Although it really doesn't bother them to get out in a little rain, they do like a nice dry place to lay down. But some mornings the silly sheep have frost on their nice warm wool. No way will the goats go out in this weather.

Stay warm and dry.

Yeah, Debbie . . . how do you do it?!!?
I think I'd need to have a job where I could work when it was dark. Of course, that would depend on the job. But I'd need to get outside for my daily power walk in daylight.
Hmmmmmm . .

Congratulations on your 10000 posts!!!

We are in the southwest corner of Colorado, catty-whompus across the state from Denver and we are 400 miles from Denver with all those big, huge, beautiful Colorado Rocky Mountains in between. And, the weather in Denver can be very different from ours . . . because of the way it tracks and flows around those mountains.

Keep posting, girlfriend!
