I have a conference today with my 9 yo's teacher. They are on Thanksgiving break this week. I cannot hear out of my one ear yet, and she is coughing worse than before. I hate to cancel this late, so I hope we don't come home more sick than we already are. One of my medications causes my immune system to not work so well, and I am not to be around more germs (contagious germs). A school is the probably the worst place to be.

Would you cancel this late or just go?

I would have canceled or done it over the phone. I wouldn't put my health at risk for a school conference.

I should have, but I didn't cancel. I took the time to pick up the plastic cheese bags I volunteered to collect and mail in also. I'm glad I went, only because I was able to talk to the teacher about dd's illness and how the gym teacher made her run with bronchitis I got an apology from the gym teacher the next day.

Well at least you got something out of the whole deal :) I know some kids will say anything to get out of a run, at least now the gym teacher knows to trust your daughter :)
