Well, farmgirls, Mr. Nougat our Longhorn bull has been a very busy fella.

Just this morning this handsome bull calf joined our herd. His momma is "Snowflake" and this pic is the two together. He is less than 12 hrs. old, up and running around. HANDSOME! CUTE!!!

His name is "HUNTLY" . . . in honor of my family's Scottish Highlands heritage.

Since it hasn't been very long since the beauty "SIETE" was born and a few have asked for "growth" pics. Here are a couple of her taken this afternoon. One with her momma "Ebony". She's growing!!!

AND, back in April "GUNSMOKE", a bull calf (he's a steer now) was born. "Patty" is his mom. He's really grown and is growing horns.

Thanks for letting me share! It's fun to watch these beautiful creatures.

HUNTLY is the little brown calf in the 3 pics in the first post. He's with the white Longhorn with really intimidating horns.
Hope you can find him.

Ceejay, thank you for sharing the photos of your longhorn babies. I LOVE longhorn cattle. There are some that live in a field around us. They all look like Huntly, but I would say their horns are double the length. Very impressive. When they lay down in their pasture, it looks like big bare tree limbs sticking up out of the ground.

We had one heifer named "Spook" that had horns so long she had to turn her head sideways to get into a stock trailer. She died quite a while ago so we no longer have her. The only calves she had were bulls and they got "de-bulled" and put in the freezer.

Well, I don't know what the problem might be. When I open the thread the pics are there.
However, I went back in, deleted them and uploaded them again. I see them . . . so I don't know.
Let me know if you still don't.

We are really enjoying watching these "bairns" grow. Gunsmoke likes to just stand and stare at you, rather like he's just trying to figure out what you're up to.

Siete is such a prissy . . . she prances around flaunting her good looks.

Huntly is running around the pasture a lot. What's fun about him is that his mommy follows him all around, kinda like she doesn't want to just rest and let him play. . . . gotta keep an eye on this kid.
It's fun!

I don't have any new pictures but our bairns are really growing. And, Siete and Huntly are the best of pals, frolicking together, napping in the sun snuggled against each other. My hubby says that Siete is like a "big sister" to Huntly.

Growing!!!!
