I have on my needles a few projects...as usual... but my focus at the moment is a red sweater that Zoe asked me for last Thursday for her birthday which is TODAY!

It's the Roaring Meg pattern on ravelry.

It's a really easy knit and I will ahve it done tonight. I started a sweater 7 other times and kept ripping it out before deciding to do this one late last night. I started at about 9:30 last night. I should have it done today for her to wear to school tomorrow over her uniform :-)

What do you have going on?

I am getting ready to start another pair of socks from handspun that I just finished. I have been working on the "Tree of Life" socks from the Enchanted Knitting book but of course since they are for me, I have set them aside for months in order to make baby things for all the new ones in the family. I will pick them up again after the holidays. If you haven't seen the book Tasha you gotta check it out. You can see it here http://www.knitpicks.com/cfbooks/book_display.cfm?ID=31439

Some of the designs are just amazing. The one with the labyrinth is incredible. I like too that she doesn't just give yarn size/brand but also wpi so handspun can be substituted.

socks for a Christmas gift (very plain and simple basic stockinette) I love knitting socks and always have a pair going. I finished a soft pastels mohair/wool blend scarf last night and started a simple ribbed cap (for a gift as well) tonight. I like to have something on bigger needles to knit on at night when the light isn't as good as during the day when I work on the socks (size 1 or 2 needles) so I always have a couple things going at once.

My goodness, those are the most beautiful socks I have ever seen. I really could not have imagined such intricate designs. I am so impressed that you ladies undertake such projects. Your skills are quite above mine. I have not yet even tried socks or a sweater. The idea that you can finish a sweater so quickly is amazing!

Right now I am majorly handicapped. I have to have my thumb joints replaced and the pain is at the point that I am highly motivated to do it as soon as the holidays are over. Right hand first I guess. I miss doing so many crafts. Looking forward to knitting again!!

You gals have really whetted my appetite to try something a bit more challenging! Thanks!

I'm working on another comfort shawl. You can see what they look like on my blog. I send them out to people who are in need of a hug. I love making them and I hope those that I send them to know that someone out there cares. I'm also working on a multi colored scarf. The pattern looked hard, but it's easy and I'm loving how its coming out.

I'm making some of those "twisty" scarves for Christmas gifts. They look really pretty in varigated yarns.

I'm working on a little Corgi dog for my Aunt. I've only been knitting for about a year. So far scarves, washclothes, market bags. This is my first "complicated" project. Well, complicated for me. I've had to rip out a few sections a few times, but I'm learning some new techniques. The pattern I'm using is

Dishcloths - for charity auction. I don't knit as fast as I can crochet, so I figured I'd start with what I'm slow at and then get the other three for the set done in a hurry.

P.S. The charity auction should be live today. It's a Facebook auction for Puppy Rescue Mission through Help Bring Leonidas Home. When you look for it on Facebook, put the "Help Bring Leonidas Home" in the search box to take you to their page. I donated 2 sets of crocheted potholders, a crocheted toddler dress, and of course, the set of 6 dishcloths I'm frantically finishing up.

I just completed a five skein triangle shawl in a beautiful wool and acrylic blend of heather gray. It was my first really big project on circular needles and then I cornered the shawl with Art Deco Oval Rhinestone buttons for a little "pop!"

Gets kinda drafty in this old boat of a house and one can never have enough shawls!

I'm not knitting anything! I have so many things that I WANT to knit, but my time is so limited...it's frustrating, but, I think with a toddler, I have to put my knitting on the backburner a bit.

I just finished the Hitchhiker scarf off Ravelry. I have a blanket on size 11 circular needles. It's been a blessed challenge. Having it on big needles helped me get over my fear of cables and bobbles. It was so easy to see how the stitches worked. I have some yarn put up to knit socks. That's my next challenge. It will have to wait just a bit longer till I'm out from under some other projects.

yarnmamma - my DD just crocheted one for our 15 lb. Silky Terrier out of just plain green, then added some very large red buttons that had white dots on them. It is too cute!

Finishing up dishcloths, then starting production for "The 9 Days of Knitting" tutorial and project for my blog. Starts Sunday so I better get my backside in gear!
