For our final ornament of the year, we will make an altered spool ornament.
You will need an old wooden spool that thread came on or a new one that can be purchased at craft stores. A large or small one will do..

Here are the directions:
You will alter or change the appearance of a wooden spool and decorate it for Christmas...
You can add to the spool to make it larger
You can add beads or glitter to bedazzle the spool
You can add paper, paint just anything you want to add to make it all Christmasy and bright!!
This sign up will end Nov 26th and mail out will be December 9th.
Go ahead and start finding your spool and decorating it so it can be ready to mail out!!
When partners are assigned, you will email your partner and ask for their address, then you will share yours...

I'm In! I have my Great-Aunt Mattie's Singer Sewing machine with the foot treadle(is that what you call it?) and the drawers have wooden spools in them, I use it for a bedside table!

It is ironic that just yesterday Craft Warehouse had a make-it and take-it craft session on spool art. It gave me even more ideas.

i just got your emails when i was sitting here checking. don't know what happened-suspect the weather, we have freezing rain and i know it's affected the computers and the phones before. it seems to be ok for now. i will get your ornament sent. sorry about the mix up, appreciate your willingness to let me know. blessings
