Dear Sisters,So much is difficult in my life just now and I have so many things on my plate..my job ends 11/12, my father is in the hospital again and yesterday did not even know who I was, my 4 aunts in PA are falling apart physically and mentally and so many people depend on me. I am flying to PA after my job ends to "fix" things there and hopefully my Dad will be out of the hospital by then. I am not eating or sleeping well and feel a little overwhelmed. Fortunately my DH, DD and her family are fine and I am so grateful. Anyway, I truly am not complaining. I can cope with this and God sustains me BUT it helps to ask for prayer, so I am. Please just pray that I can maintain this pace for a little while..that I can sleep..that my Dad will be OK while I am away. (my DH will stay here for him). I will get home sometime after Thanksgiving and I am so grateful to be spending the holiday with my extended family. I plan to take a few days off before I look for a new job and just rest and if I can just get to that point...please just add me to your prayer lists for the next week or so. I know that God will provide what I need (like sleep, maybe) but it helps me to have my sisters in this too. I feel your prayers and it strengthens me. Thank you all, Joey

Don't go with the flow...you are the flow.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

I pray for God to give you strength, comfort, patience and assistance. I've been in overwhelming situations, I know how bad it can get. Hang in there and do take care of yourself, too, without feeling guilty. You matter, too.

Joey I just lifted you up to God in prayer. You do have a lot of worries now, but you are right, God will sustain you through this season. It sounds like you already have a blessing in disguise with your job ending-no job obligations so your time can be free to tend to your family needs. God knows what we need before we do and I'm sure he will not only strenghten you for your family tasks ahead but will open a new job for you when the time is right. God bless you sister!

I came from my doctors appointment this am. After 5 yrs at a steady weight, I have gained 18 lbs in 7 months-stress eating, I'm sure. Despite taking my meds for my blood pressure it is still sky high and so is my pulse, so she added a new med. I am tired and not sleeping. I am already on meds. I have no time to "take care " of me. I had to quit my stressful ER job, so no insurance and no new job yet. I'm focused on one thing at a time and what do I have to do next-survival mode. I pray, and read my Bible and I am comforted. I WILL deal with all of this because "all things are possible for those who love God" and He sustains me.I just wanted y'all to know how much I need and appreciate your prayers. I am lifted up. Thank you, Joey

I am so, so sorry for what you are going through. I will pray for God to give you time to take care of yourself because it is important.

Joann.
My prayers will be with you and your family. Just remember to take it one day at a time and if that is too much break it down to one hour at a time. You can only do so much in a given amount of time, you need to eat well and sleep even if things are chaotic. Be well and strong. Remeber we are all virtually hugging you when things get crazy.

God bless,

Judy

My father is still critically ill and so confused but he is saying he just wants to die. He turned 84 last Sunday. Please pray for Gods grace for him too. Thank you, Joey

My job ended 11/12. I have 2 weeks vacation pay coming to me. (Yipee!) I leave for 10 days in PA on Thursday. My father is off critical care but still so sick. I pray that he will be well and getting better while I'm away. My DH will stay here in Florida and visit him daily. I'll look for a new job when I get back.
I have felt your prayers and am so grateful. Thank you, Joey

Prayers for strength-UPDATE
I spent 10 days in PA with my aunts and so much is better. My aunt with dementia got started with new meds and is more stable. I went with her children to see her because they had not seen her since she was so agitated and needed to be tied down. Aunt #2 is having heart surgery 12/15 so she is not out of the woods yet but we spent alot of time talking and I think her head is better and she is ready for the surgery. Aunts # 3 and 4 were so glad to see me and have me "take charge" of everyones needs. I did what I do-feelings and fear-and I think we all came away in better space.
My DH saw my Dad here everyday and he is out of the hospital now and back in the nursing home.
I am doing my old job on an "as needed" basis until we go to 12 hour shifts in Jan, so despite not having healthcare, I'm getting paid and it's all good.
Please know that I felt your protective prayers and it filled up my heart. Thank you all, for public and private posts. You are the best. Joey

Joey, so glad things are looking a little brighter! Glad you have a good husband that looked after your dad while you were gone so you didn't have to worry about him being alone. Will be saying some prayers for all of you!
