I would appreciate some farmgirl prayers for my husband to find a job. If you've read some of my previous posts, you know we were both unemployed for several months (I have now found something but drive 100 miles/day). My DH is still looking.
When I got home today, he was in such a "mood"; he got yet another "thanks, but no thanks" letter. Then he told me of his "conversation" with God. I am at a loss as to how to encourage him and help him keep the faith. The emotional stress and financial stress is weighing heavy on us both.
Thank you for praying.
Hugs, Darlene

Definitely! I know how hard it is. We were unemployed for a year and it was rough to say the least. Jobs seem to be so hard to come by and blow after blow from not getting a job sure does hurt.
Prayers that it will turn around soon for you!

Thank you for your replies; I appreciate it. He got yet another rejection e-mail today.
I know it will get better one day, but that day is not here yet. I'm glad I have a farmgirl prayer/support group!

I'm praying. Keep trusting the Lord and praise Him in all things...especially when you don't feel like it.

Saying a little prayer for your DH and his job situation. It can be very discouraging when 300 people apply for 1 job. My DS is in the same boat.

Hi lovely ladies, to give you an update. . .hubby has found a part-time job and we are grateful. But he went on an interview last Thursday for a great full-time job. He was told they would make a decision and have the candidate come back for a 2nd interview this week.
Well, it is Wednesday and we've not heard anything. We've been through this soooooo many times. . . .the wait, the anticipated disappointment.
Please keep us in your prayers. It has been almost a year that he has been unemployed.
I know what I'm going through is nothing new; several of you have been through the same situation. You are all in my prayers, too.
Prayers all around, Darlene

Darlene I'm so sorry that you and your DH are having such a struggle. I can't imagine what you must be going through with it lasting a year. So very hard. Sending prayers your way for hubby to find a good full time job that he will love and that you both have continued strength in your love for each other and God.

Hi Darlene. Did he ever hear anything back? It can be so frustrating and draining. I went through a heck of a time just trying to find an internship. You start out really optimistic and feeling good. Then you either don't hear anything back, or it's the answer you don't want to hear. It wears on a person.
Thankful he found a part-time job, but I will keep you all in my prayers that he finds a good full-time job soon!

Hi Emily,
Thanks for checking on me and thanks to you all who've offered prayers. No, he hasn't heard back yet. DH did send a follow-up "thanks for the interview, have you made a decision" type e-mail and got a reply that they are still in process. So I guess he still has a chance.
We're both grateful for his part-time job, don't get me wrong. But with this particular full-time job, our dreams might become more than just that.
Thank you all again. You are all in my prayers; keep us in your, too.
You're all wonderful! Darlene
