I just thought I'd let you know that if you are looking for something quick and yummy, I posted a recipe at the blog for a curried chicken and deep fried spinach. We think it's yummy.

That looks yummy!

I can't make curry because my husband doesn't like "guts", meaning liver, heart, gizzard. When we were first married I made chicken curry. Well, I didn't realize that the curry sauce covered all the pieces of chicken so that they now were all alike. I included the heart and liver intending to pick them out for me. Well, you guessed it--the FIRST bite he took was the liver! No more curry in our house and that happened 26 years ago.

The food looks good, but I got distracted by the dinnerware! Looks like my grandmothers! What a nostlagia trip!

Anna, yes, that probably was like your grandmother's. It is from the 50's and is Royal Currier and Ive's. Each set of pieces has a different Currier and Ive's drawing in the bottom.

Loyce, I only use boneless, skinless chicken breasts for my curry. The chicken is cut into cubes. Maybe he'll like that? :-)

YUP! That was it!

Sadly, at the time of her passing, I didn't have enough room in my kitchen for her dinnerware or her copper bottom Revere Ware. Boy am I kicking myself now!

Both DH and I LOVE curry, so we'll add your recipe for sure. Didn't know to use organ meats, as we have always used boneless, skinless breast meat. We do have older hens that need to get gone, so this would transition nicely to the crock pot too.

Thanks!

p.s.

almost forgot about the deep fried spinach.....for us we have fields of mixed greens and collards. Hubby got really ambitious this year, so instead of our usual 300 or 400 collard plants, we have a field of 600 !
