I just checked out utube on these dolls they are so cute had never heard of them. They are met to give away or swap. Are we going to make a christmas Dotee Doll? I see they make them for different holidays. Christmas would be fun and creative. Sign me up for two partners and I will make chritmas Dotee Dolls unless one of my partners has a birthday in December.
This sounds so much fun!

No, the dolls don't have to be Christmas. They are simple to make - just use scraps of whatever you have on hand.

I've started working on mine, only took me 3 tries to get the pieces cut out the way I wanted {laughing}. My first time to make something like this, but it's fun! Thanks for all the sign-ups! Hope we get more!

Can I ask what type of material you're using, Ruby? Are you using actual material or a felt? I went and bought some material today (I don't sew so I don't have scraps laying around)....hoping what I bought works! :)

I'm giving felt a try, but any type of materials can be used.

I'll be using fabric that I have. I do need to buy something to use for hair and probably some glitzy beads for the tail :)

Ruby,

I would love to have two partners. Are we doing them in a
Christmas theme or what?

There's no theme for the dolls. You can make them out of whatever scraps you have on hand. Glad you're joining us on this swap!

Sounds like fun. I've made larger dolls of this type so it will be interesting to "downsize". Two partners please if there are enough.

I just finished making my first Dotee doll and I'm so pleased with the way it turned out! Working on this has inspired me to start making a few other things as well. It was the jump-start I needed to get me back into crafting, I'm so glad! {laughing}

I totally agree with you, Ruby. I get all of these ideas in my head, buy the things to make them, but when it comes to actually executing the project I have a big creative brain fart. These swaps have forced me to pull my ideas together by a certain time. Very thankful for that and i've been having so much fun doing it!

Sometimes Photobucket will resize for me, sometimes not. I promise these dolls are not as big as my head.
