I was having my coffee on the porch this am, watching my black eyed susans "stretch" towards the sun in the oppisite direction that they were growing in. It's so neat to watch the seasons change thru your garden doing it's natural thing.

I love to do the same thing. After living in our house for twenty years, we have come to learn the slant of the sun on the porch and in the yard and how it changes with the seasons. It is a lot! In my winter garden plot, the sun shines strong. In that same little patch of ground, there is nothing but shade from a nearby dogwood in the summer.
And have you ever stepped out of the house in the morning and suddenly you knew fall was truly in the air? That happens in the spring, too. The smell of a seasonal change can happen in a matter of one night.

Peace
