Thanks, Gloria, she'll be on her way to you soon!

I am redecorating my kitchen and have a big white ceramic goose cookie jar. She's wearing a big blue (ceramic) bow around her neck and is in perfect condition; no knicks.

Another barter post of mine also has some blue sets of placemats and napkins if you are decorating in that color.

Going, going ... to Goodwill at the end of the month if nobody here wants her.

Jo, I would take her, could I send you some of my beautiful pillow cases for her, and share in the expense of packaging so she doesn't get broken in shipment?

Thanks, gloria g. Richards, TX

Hi, Gloria!

I'd be happy to ship her safely to you. Send me your addy by email and she'll be on her way. Did you mean to send the pillow cases ahead of time, for me to use in packing her, or in exchange for her? (Either way, or both, is fine!)

Do you want the blue placemats and napkins as well? That would help cushion her for the trip...

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Gloria,

The Goosy Girl is on her way to you today. She is packed within an inch of her life, you should have her by the end of the week.

Gloria,

My USPS receipt shows this was delivered; was everything intact?

Hi Jo, so sorry for not getting right back to you. Yes, she arrived here, and is adorable. She had a minor little break along the mouth of the jar where the head sits down in. Nothing that the super glue can't fix! I just made the repair last night. No one will ever know! I am working on pillowcases and will get yours out this week! Thanks so much! Sew many quilts, sew little time! But what the hey - that is what keeps me going! Again, thank you. She will have a wonderful home!

Oh, by the way, you did have very creative packing. I'm using one of the mouse pads! And love the napkins and napkin rings! Thank U again!!!!

Oh, so sorry about the breakage. I would have thought the base/body piece would be hardier than the head/neck piece. Glad you can use the mouse pad, and napkins. It was a nice way to recycle some still useful stuff, too!
