I've been thinking about buying an electric juicer and wanted to know if any of the farmgirls have a recommendation and can share their experience. Are they a good investment?

I bought a GreenLife juicer quite a few years ago and I still use it. A bear to clean up but I really like it. It is industrial usage so will last forever. You have to be VERY careful with the gears though - getting them in right. I think that the newer version is the GreenStar. That's the only kind I have had experience with. During apple season, I juice our apples and can it for cold applejuice in the winter.

I own two Champion juicers. I was given a new one for my birthday. I'm going to sell my older one, if you want it. I was going to list it on ebay for $125 (which includes shipping.)

God bless,

I have a Champion and love it, except for the clean-up. I don't use it as much as I'd like because it's a pain to break down and clean. But I wouldn't part with it for anything.

That's funny, Melina! I thought that it was one of the easier ones to take a part and put back together. I have a couple other cheaper juicers that I'm going to sell on ebay as well, that have more parts and more to clean up. But, you're right! I wouldn't part with mine for anything either. My husband said that he wanted me to have a new one for my birthday. I just think it was his way of tell me that he wants me to juice more! Plus, we were traveling in our travel trailer and my older Champion was at our home in AR.

God bless,

Cynthia

OH, dear! Maybe I should thank my lucky stars! I've never had another type of juicer, so have no comparison. Maybe I'll use it more often, now that I know it's one of the easier ones.

Cynthia and Melina, just out of curiosity, how many parts do you have to clean in the champion? I'm comparing with my Green life which is the only kind I've tried. Can you just wash yours in soapy water? I'm trying to think - I have the two gears, the two hoods, the screen and the adjuster/pulp spout.

I have an Omega Juicer. It works really well. Like everyone else I find the clean up annoying. But I don't have to put any gears back together so maybe mine isn't as complex? It works well for solids like carrots, apples, etc. But I didn't like it so much for grapes, for grapes I'm hoping to get the steam version.

Excuse the mess & the noise, my children are making happy memories

I have a jack lalanne power juicer now for a couple of years. It works awesome, and takes only about 5 minutes to clean up. Everyone in my family loves the fresh juice.
