Just signed up and wow! I can see how this will be very addicting....just so many amazing ideas....already saw these mini pies in a canning jar- the link even had another link to adorable tags to make to decorate the jars....oh boy...I can see I'm in trouble! So exciting!

I had no idea what pinning was, so I'm glad I found this thread. I put a recipe up on my farm blog and someone emailed me to let me know they'd stuck it up on Pintrest and suddenly more people were at my blog.
I have also heard that its an addicting place to be, so I'm afraid to go there. Must...stay...away.....

I'd love to join but I don't Twitter not do I have Facebook. Wish there was another way without it?
But I absolutely love what I'm seeing and I'd be a pinning queen for sure if only I could!

I feel your pain!
I dont do facebook or twitter etc and would love to join in on the fun. I signed up, and got my "approval" etc only to find out you had to have facebook etc.

for those of you without facebook or twitter, you could create a twitter account just to join.
You don't need to use twitter at all, but it would get you signed up for Pinterest.

Laurie, I've found that you can still 'get around' Pinterest w/o having a Twitter or FB account - you just can't 'pin'. This means that you can't save/mark (hence, pin) what interests you on the site itself. I can still access the material by clicking on the picture on the home page, then clicking again on the picture again when it pulls up. This takes me to the source/person/website who added it to the Pinterest and includes directions/recipe ingredients, etc. that I need. Bookmarking in a folder marked Pinterest on the computer gets around having to have an account. But I must say, that's getting kinda old! There is a TON of info on there that seriously interests me. There are some very talented, creative people on there - and what they post are not just your run of the mill ideas.

Thanks Karen for the info. I will have to give it another whirl! I am just one of those "anti" facebook people, and not a tweeter either.
