ooo! I have 6 pumpkins left of the same type you have and I haven't been sure what to do with them! Could you share your recipe? I use applebutter in my zucchini bread as an oil/partial sugar substitute, so I'm giddy at the thought of pumpkin butter.

I baked 5 pie pumpkins, peeled them, cubed them and pureed them. Added 4 cups of sugar, 2 Tbsp. cinnamon, 1 tsp. ground cloves, 1/2 tsp. allspice or you could also use pumpkin pie spice. Heat on low in a crockpot until water is baked out (keep crockpot lid cracked to let out steam).

Kristina, Peanut is so pretty. I bet her milk is so good. I love my Lamancha, Abby. She is just now starting to give more milk. Sandy the Nubian is sort of slowing down but I think it's because she may ne in heat. She should pick back up again. I hope you enjoy the new goats.
