I love farm trucks. Old, dirty, well-loved...

(Gomer, our water truck)

(and "The Dodge")

We have 4 other trucks-one flatbed, a dumptruck, a jeep truck, and a old ford that runs on woodgas, too.

SHOW ME YOUR TRUCKS!

Mind is a 1994 Ford 150 Pickup that I love and has seen me through so much and still does so much. I found some rust the other day and the bottom of the right side - I guess that mud should have been washed off but why. I does not have a drivers side handle inside so I crawl over the center console to get to the passengers side to get out (we have had three handles put on but they keep breaking) I guess I don't know my own strength.. The back tail gate does not come down because the feed store crushed it when loading feed with their skidsteer... With all it's problems I love it and it is a dear member of my family.

Here's a picture of hubby's scout. He sold it when we moved but he's found another that he wants if we had the money to buy it.

Megan,

I must share my news with you!!! My parents are buying a motorhome and Daddy has decided that he's going to give me his Dodge Cummins, crew cab, six speed manual, dually one ton!!!! I'm in my glory!!! I've wanted a Dodge cummins one ton for about 20 years!!!!!! It even has leather interior. Can you say spoilt? I'm bouncing off the walls excited. So happy. I get my dream truck. I can't remember for sure, but I think it's a 2003. Lets just say it is SET UP because my Daddy works in the oilfield and puts a lot of money into getting his trucks ready for work. It has a fifth wheel hitch in the bed so basically I can hook up to anything and pull it. I won't get it immediately but the next time they come to visit I should have my dream truck. So now my husband is talking about rigging up our Durango as his hunting vehicle instead of getting another scout. I told him we'll never end up selling that Durango. It's the first vehicle we bought together. He's even talking about using it as his hunting/fun vehicle and then handing it down to our son (who is only five) for his first vehicle. Don't be surprised if in 10 years you see us at a classic car show driving our Durango!

We have a 2001 Ford Excursion diesel that is nicknamed "The Beast". It never gets stuck ever. We will start running it on biodiesel again when we move out to the hobby ranch.
