Today on my road I had to slow down and stop for a doe and her two fawns, a red fox darted in front of me on a sharp blind corner, and just when I thought I was out of the traffic a porcupine decided he had to get to the other side of the road causing me to have to slow way down as he took his own sweet time to cross. And here we are at the beginning of a holiday week-end you would think they could plan their trips on my road better.

Stress relief: go fishing, play in the dirt. go on a road trip, talk to a farmgirl.

How sweet to see them, though! Next time you have to stop for them, give them a calendar and talk to them about holiday weekends, will you?? ;)

It sure makes my day. Keeps you alert and mellows you out all at the same time. Wouldn't give it up for nothing.

You would think you live in the mountains or something with all the wildlife! How lucky you were to see all of them in one day and yes that is why we live in the mountains.

Sounds like my road here. Always something wanting to be on the other side. You have to watch those behind you though. They are worse than what's in front.

Yup, sounds like around here on the other side of Colorado. We can add Canada geese, skunks and coyotes to the menagerie.

That was a sweet post. We get mostly deer, an occasional rabbit and roadrunners. I'll never forget the time I came around the bend to find a whole herd of deer just socializing with each other in the middle of the road. (Maybe they were all lost and refused to ask directions) They made quite a few of us slow down.
