...some wind damage, some flooding, and DEFINITELY some gorgeous, crisp weather! A brisk 67 degrees but it sure feels cooler! I love it!

Hope others have fared just as well as we did up here. We saw a LOT of damage on TV , but all we have are some down power lines and a LOT of water!

Goal for today is the do a major yard clean up! And UGH! The pool turned so green from all the fresh water. BLECH

Just a Brooklyn, NY gal trying to figure out this country thing after 12+ years in the woods of NE PA! Wife of my HS sweetie going on 23 years and mom to the amazing four ages 19(g), 17(s), 14(s), 13(s)!

Donna- I am with you- we did a massive yard clean up today and its almost as if we never had a storm- we were very lucky. My pool however looks like the lochness monster lives in it. So weird- it was crystal clear on Saturday before the storm and overnight Irene turned it GREEN! Best of luck to you!

We were lucky - basement flooded, lost power, and had a lot of clean up to do. Still, many are without homes, so I feel very lucky. We had just come home from Vermont, and the devastation there is unbelieveable. My sister's baby shower was supposed to be Sunday - we had to cancel, obviously, but we are hoping to reschedule before her due date!!

we had no power for 4 days..but being the farmgirl I am, I enjoyed it!! of course my boys werent so happy LOL. I warmed buckets of water in the sun, cooked on my propane camping stove in my fireplace, and even made a hanging shower with a bucket. I loved it! my family and i played board games too. it was nice playing the games by candle light. i think it's crazy how so many people were upset with the power company for taking so long to get the power back on. I think we should know how to fend for ourselves in case of an emergency. You never know what will happen next.
