Hi Farmgirls,
I hate to ask this for myself - especially when everyone has so many truly difficult things they are going through, but I could really use some prayer.

We're experiencing some financial difficulties that are a little worse than we initially expected and I found out Friday someone stole my credit card number and used it to go on a several thousand dollar shopping spree in another state. The credit card company says I am not responsible for the charges and closed the account, but now I have a ton of paperwork to fill out to verify the fraud. It also really disheartens me to know there are such criminals able to touch my life.

I'm just having a really hard time.

Sorry to hear you're going through this. Can't believe there are people out there who will do things like that. You're in my thoughts, and I truly hope things get better!

Suzanne, never ever feel bad asking for prayer for yourself. We all need help and being prayed for is the best of all. I know how much it means to me. I will be praying that all this is straightened out soon and you get through it with a peace that is only from God.

Suzanne, Identity theft is a horrible, horrible thing----I went through it alone years ago---wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy----but you will get through it. You are in my prayers.

God cares about anything that we care about so then we should all be willing to pray for someone who desires it! If I had known about this forum I would have been asking for prayer for my darling Nevada (horse) last fall. It doesn't have to be earth shattering news to deserve pray, just has to be important to you!! So count me in, I'm praying too. *hugs*

Excuse the mess & the noise, my children are making happy memories

Suzanne,

There is absolutely NOTHING wrong asking for prayers for yourself! I am praying that the Lord would provide for your needs and that he would protect you from being harmed even further. Isaiah 26:3 I will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Me and trusts in Me.

Hi Suzanne,
Why shouldn't you have prayers? You're most certainly worth them! During these hard times lots of folks are struggling so take comfort in knowing you're not alone. Many financial institutions are willing to work with you if you can swallow your pride and phone their customer service and explain your situation. I hope they catch the crook who stole your card. I had that happen once when someone used my card to buy a bunch of online music. Fortunately it wasn't thousands of dollars but it was still unnerving. The paperwork I had to fill out wasn't a huge amount so I will pray it will be the same with you and the credit card company was so nice and very helpful. There has never been a time in my life when I was in financial problems that I haven't had God come thru for me when I asked for help. Sometimes though He made me dial a number first..smile.
All the best to you and yours :)

I think most of the farmgirls would have added you to their prayers if you had just told us your story. Never hesitate to ask! I hope this is not as complicated as you fear. I hope the stress it has caused is soon behind you.

Thank you so much for your prayers, everyone. It means the world to me. The paperwork has not been as bad as I thought (for documenting the theft), but I am still slogging through it. It just honestly makes me feel really violated (for lack of a better word) to know someone was out there with my number charging up thousands of dollars of stuff and not caring who they hurt by it. But, to tell the truth, I also hope that whoever it was stops pursuing a life of crime because that is an ugly, sad way to be and can only have bad ends.

I have to say, though, the experience has left me more than a little paranoid.
