I love this chat forum. It's so nice to come in to it and feel like I'm surrounded by so many friends. But alas, my real life is a busy one and the time to sit down and 'visit' with you all does not come frequently these days. But today, I have both kids down for naps, and I decided to step in and say hello. I've missed all you regulars, and there are so many newbies I don't recongnize! Have a great day my sisters. It's gorgeous here in Vermont today, and I intend to make it a good one!

Hi Sarah- I once worked with a co-worker who had lived in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. She loved it there and was into a lot of farming and sustainable living. Glad you had time to vist today. Let us know what is happening up your way! I am way down here in the land of HOT Florida and I am thinking that Vermont living would be a great change from all the heat and humidity.

Hi Sarah, I'm back after a month off for a move and cable problems. Nice to meet you! I'd love to hike some of Vermont's trails. Lovely state.

Thanks for checking in Sarah....glad all is well up there in VT. Here on Long Island we are bracing for good ole' Irene! I think we will be okay and hopefully only have minor damage!

Vermont is also gearing up for Irene, but it sounds like it's not going to be as bad here as down by the coast. Alee, my kiddos are 3 and 9 months now. My 9 month old just started scooching this last week, so gone are the days of not having to worry about what she's into. :)

Sarah,
Hope that all faired ok with the storm? Seems like it was awful in some areas.

Take care and be safe!

Feeling the same way...so little time and I don't want to just blast out a post here and there...I am working on reading to get to KNOW ladies here :0)! Maybe once school is a'go for us (next week) I will MAKE more time!!!
Glad to read each post though---isn't nap time the BEST! We had quiet time after lunch until my kiddos were like 11 :0)!! Sad, they are most grown now---at least way past nap time!

We have an old, dear friend up in Vermont! She was evacuated as the river behind her house decided to make a visit---in her den! Hope all is well for you and yours!

Just a Brooklyn, NY gal trying to figure out this country thing after 12+ years in the woods of NE PA! Wife of my HS sweetie going on 23 years and mom to the amazing four ages 19(g), 17(s), 14(s), 13(s)!

We did fine for the storm. We didn't even lose power. But I here some other parts of the state did not get out so easy. We had a very wet basement, and some leaks made a brief appearance, but it was just water and it'll dry. Thanks ladies for being concerned!
