I would buy several as soon as I can. I, too live by my day planner, as it's too easy to miss something that is important to me. And spiral binding is a great feature. Can I help it bring to reality?

yes, I was just going over my planner from 2012 and was so surprised at all the little tips I had written and the plants cuttings I had taped and this is the first time I have been able to start gardening -retired and loving all the new things I'm learning! But yeah, planners are a good thing!

Agree with LaurenTany: somewhere like a 5 X 8 size or so, big enough to have room to write your appointments in, yet still small enough to fit in your pocketbook.

I'd like blank pages and farm girl stories, even from struggling women like me who are trying to incorporate small successes into a non-farm life.

I would be interested in a MJF day planner.

While I was working I went to a Franklin Time Management class and still use their method today.

When you enter a task or event there are 4 ways to track it.

A dot means you are working on it.
An arrow means you are moving it to another time/date.
A check means it is completed.
An X means you are no longer interested in it.

Have a blessed day, Sara

I like all the suggestions. For me, spiral bound would work best. Having a pollinator plan on my place, there's lots of 'pages' to keep up with. Add a section for gardening notes and you've got my vote.

Mary Jane are you thinking on this any? I have thought many times that I wished I could find a Farmish planner for a girl like me. I actually made sketches for one once! lol!! Thought I might get my own printed. I am sure one from you would be amazing!!

You know I found a gardening type day planner for notes about gardening and such at the thrift store one day. It was so pretty and vintage that I didn't have the heart to write in it.

I'd love to start 2016 a with a Mary Jane planner! I love all the suggestions; sized big enough for busy Farmgirls but just small enough to go in a purse, blank pages for notes and ideas, photos, tips, MJF inspiration . . . Woo hoo!

Happy Day!

I would like one too! Let me see if I can find more hours in the day:) Stranger things have happened. Ring binder, right? Tell me more. What size? Only seven days on a page? Can you give me examples?

MaryJane for the last several years I have bought my planner from Dollar General. Here's the info on it:

8" X 5" - I keep planner on my computer desk. It's small enough to put in handbag or tote.

Ring Bound

When the planner is opened flat there are 3 days MTW on left side and 4 days TFSS on right. Sat & Sun share bottom third of page. Each day has 10 lines.

The planner is divided into 3 sections: Monthly - Weekly - Addresses/Notes

I only use the weekly section - have separate address book.

Others may use all sections or have other wants & needs.

Wishes: Jubilee & Apple Festival days noted - also a place just for planning them.

As for color and accents I'll leave it up to you and your talented gang. What ever y'all come up with will be just what I want.

ClaireSky, we'll play around with costing, etc. this week and let you know if a planner's a go. We've been working on our 2016 calendar and it will be available next week I believe.

I love the idea of a weekly planner - I am big on having holidays on the dates and room to write lots of things (I like to write a menu on there as well, for dinner) for each day... I too find the address book an unnecessary extra, as I am not going to rewrite my addresses from year to year. Spiral books seem to last much better than hardback books. I also like daily planners where a page (or at least half a page) is designated per day.

I agree. We've ordered some supplies. We shall see. Carol has been home sick the last couple of days, delaying work on our calendar.
