Just blogged about my canning tonight ..link is below. I love having jars of ground meat all cooked and ready to add to anything when I need it all winter!

Jenny!
I do the same thing. I go through the freezer & pull out those packs of meat that I know will soon be replaced, & either can ground meat, or stew meat.
Love the Jackie Clay book. It is the best out there. I have had it about 2 yrs & it is more worn than any other.
I have 3 quarts of deer stew meat left, so I need to replace them & some ground meat soon.
But tonight, I am canning Peach Bbq sauce, courtesy of a farmgirl here!

Thanks Jenny. Canning meat is in my future plans. I will reading your blog when I have more free time.

And of course, I need to get my shotgun/rifle training in soon, so I can go hunting with the guys.

I wish my big boys (oldest two sons) lived closer...I would sure go hunting with them. I settle for fishing as much as I can right now. And raising ducks and turkeys for meat this year too.
