How come pecans have went up in price so much? I went to the grocery store the other day to get pecans to put in my banana bread and was shocked at the price. I use to buy that same bag for $7.99. The it went up to $8.99. So okay I still bought it. Now that same bag is $11.99. I am not going to pay that! I told my husband he was going to have to start liking Walnuts. I could buy that same size of bag of walnuts for $5.89. What a shame because I love pecans!! I am suppose to plant a few pecan trees this year to add to my garden but it will take about 5 to 6 years to start producing. Oh well bummer!
