The mingled scents of spice, teas, and cooking food at our local Food Coop and Deli.
The pungent, spicy, damp smell of leaves in the woods in autumn.
The scent of freshly fallen snow.
The first rainstorm in the spring.
Newborn babies.
Fresh coffee in the morning.
Earl Grey Lavender Tea.
My Grandmother's Aunt Hannah's sugar cookies baking in the oven.
Homemade bread.
Basmati Rice cooking on the stove.
The clean scent of Fels Naptha.

I ask not for a larger garden, but for finer seeds.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Wood smoke.
Clothes off the line.
My kids/hubby when they've been outdoors.
Horse's when you bury your face in their necks.
The house when you have a live pine tree up for Christmas.
Smell of rain before it starts........then after.
Freshly cut wood - especially pine.
And last but not least - book pages.
And (I only remember this as a kid, I don't think it's 'done' nowadays. Any of you older gals remember this?) alfalfa burning. Oh the many, many nights as a kid going to sleep with that sweet smell wafting into my bedroom!

Clothes off the line, the way the steam coming out of a pot with pasta in it smells (don't really know how to describe it!), coffee, butterscotch, and caramel
