My 14 year-old farmerette, figured out how to use old tires that were in our wood storage barn. She is using 2 to hold hay (as a feeder)for the goats. If the hay gets mixed into the straw, they won't eat it. Another daughter is saving one to hold a water bucket for her future horse. I'm not sure about the last tire, but I will post photos or a link to her blog about her coming up with these ideas.

My neice goes to a Pre-K. In the school yard, under the swings, and play things, there are old tires torn and ripped. I guess it softens the falls, but the children sure do come home dirty. Marly

This is so funny! My DH, DD and I went for a walk yesterday and my DD found a car tire on the side of the road. She had to roll it home (it was a "trophy"). She is 12 years old and 5'6" and looked funny trying to roll the tire home, as well as awkward. My husband had to giver her pointers...she had never rolled a tire like that before! I decided it would make a nice little planter on a stump in the front yard!
