I emailed but didn't get a response from the moderator-
How about a general decorating section? I'd love to see some pics of people's kitchens, homes, etc.
How about a humor section too?

I have always put ideas and such under the crafting section, but a Farmgirl-style decorating section would be lovely. Girls always talk about their homes, and there are always such lovely photos in MJF magazine, but it would be great to see what others have done with homes/rooms/furniture, wouldn't it? =)

Oh what fun! I will start...here are some pictures of my dining room. It is just off of my black and white kitchen. In one picture is a little daybed I made from an old metal crib and another shows the dining room table I painted. The ceiling treatment is interesting. I have cove ceilings so there is no cut off. If you want a deep color like this glazed rust, there is no place to stop it and it would be really dark on the ceiling. I painted a large cream circle and then trimmed it in a black vine. It's amazing, it makes my ceiling look like it is a lot higher than it is.

I am just checking to see if anyone is thinking or maybe checking into putting a decorating and humor section. Sounds really cool to me. And- we would have another subject to post to, and chat about.

Diane what a spectacular job you did on your dining room! I love the black and white and the settee from a crib is sooooo cute. I love the idea of a decorating and humor section. I agree they go hand in hand. It's always fun to share our homes and what we've done to make them our nest. I love this idea. I wonder if you couldn't just go ahead and post a new topic and call it Decorating and Humor? Do we have to have someone give permission for this? I think if you just remove the question mark from the end of this topic you've already created your board :)
