I am a bird lover, and I am thrilled to see the wonderful art work in MJFarm Magazine depicting nature.

Am am also NOT and expert on their names.

Can someone please tell me the name of the bird that appears in the June-July 2011 issue that is on page 17 --- Very top left of this page.

Appears to be gray or grayish green , with a black mask and a yellowish throat and under belly.

Anyone out there have this bird as a regular visitor to your yard?

Let's hear it from our bird lovers! Girls?

My guess is the bird is an immature common yellow throat or a yellow-breasted chat. I've seen both of these species on hikes in WA but not in my own back yard. The closest species I see here in my yard on a regular basis are Townsend's and Wilson's warblers.

Cheers! ~ Marilyn
