I've had these for a few weeks. I just got a photo of them to share. I paid $7.00 for all three and they are in great shape!

I love the coffee pot soap pump! I got this on eBay this week, $8.00 and I love it! It like a shadow box, and about 13" wide. I'm going to do a minor repair then it's up on the wall! It has a tin star with rosemaling (I think that's what it is?, a little straw hat on the upper right, dried flowers in the middle, tools on the left.It looks handmade...

Kristina, That's a great price on the soap pump! I've been looking for one in the stores and they're all so expensive.

I had a set of luggage like that once upon a time. My parents gave it to me when I graduated high school.

Robin and I went thrifting today . . . several wonderful tablecloths, cloth napkins, a dresser scarf, ceramic western boot salt/pepper shaker (for our "glamping" gear) and a lovely ceramic Victorian ladies boot in white with tiny shamrocks painted on it!
And, we had fun in the process, doing it together.

While hiking on public land that used to be an old ranch, we came across a trash pile with a lot of broken glass and a few beautiful older bottles. Hiked all around the place with a big green bottle that we brought home and washed. It's now holding flowers from our garden on the patio.

Found a pressure canner in excellent shape for $30 & a yougurt maker for $5. I jumped at the pressue canner because a new one is just sooo expensive & hard to find here. I already have one & use it often.

4 large, wonderful curtan panels, with print of seed pkt., watering cans, etc. Could be used in our "glamp-tent" as side panels, could be used a table clotes, etc.
A Samsonite Silhouette train case in excellent condition for $3.
Medium sized TravelJoy vintage suitcase for $3, just needs the outside cleaned up a bit.

Ran into a friend in the thrift store who saw these pieces and asked if I was going somewhere. I was able to tell a bit of my "tent glamping" story!!

I got this, at a local thrift store, for $1.50. A little lighthouse light, to go on my "sea table" I put out in the summer. I'll add some paint on the white, tall tube, and a silicone bulb, and nestle it inside something.

I got these for a buck each at a craft store. The one on the left is unfinished, the right is painted. The other one will be navy blue for 4th of July, and summer in general.

I also got a wonderful, like-new Eddie Bauer stone colored denim vest for next fall/winter, $3.00.

It wasn't at a thrift store - but its very thrifty... I tried a moisturizer from Aldi's made by Lacura. It is very nice and only cost $3.49! They have a day cream and a night cream (with COQ10) - so far, I've only tried the day cream and its amazing. I mentioned this on another post - but the friend who told me about has family in England - they told her its very popular there and gone as soon as its on the shelf. They were here for a visit and surprised to see so many on the shelf.

There are several Aldi stores in Illinois. Unfortunately, I don't think there are many in the western US. Google Lacura Face Cream and you might be able to buy it online.

Found these two pieces at a local thrift . . $3.00 each. The train case is Samsonite and has all those wonderful pockets all around the inside. The suitcase has pockets in the lining as well . . I need to do a bit of resecuring the lid section. Otherwise in great shape, just had to clean up!
YAY!

BTW: they're sitting on an old wooden apple boxes from my family farm and there are two very old, and well used apple picking sacks inside the box.

This suitcase has been in the family since the 50s. My oldest brother used it to take to college in the 50s . . the tattered pennant sticker on the lid is from his college, Wheaton College.

I didn't realize we still had this until I was looking for something else in an old camper we have. There it was . . WOWIE ZOWIE!!! It had a few interesting treasures in it. But I brought it in, cleaned it up and think I know how I'll use for our "tent-glamping" trips.

I was just delighted to find something that has been in the family for so long. It is wood with a metal "skin" and the lining is paper. Painted shiny black with the tiny white and red stripes around it, with the metal "cap" corners and all. The paint on the bottom is worn in places from use. And it has seen a lot of miles but still has more possibilities! A treasure!!

Mu hubby wound up with his dad's old small suitcase, because that's what the sibling tossed the family pics in for us to scan! We're keeping it, as they don't want it :) It's cute!

I found a combo computer bag brief case all leather for $7.99. The zippers are stiff but I will hit them with the beeswax and it will be just fine.
