I'm not sure if this is where I need to post this. I am starting a new chapter and we are meeting next month. I am wondering how people hold their "get togethers". I'm a tad nervous, mostly because the "girls" range from 8-85 years in age. I really want people to get excited about participating but not feel overwhelmed. I realize that each "sister" will be participating on different levels. Any ideas would be helpful.

Also.... Totally random question.... Do you have to complete the beginner's level badge before you can complete later levels for merit badges? I don't want to be leading others astray.....

You do have to start at the beginner and earn them by working up to expert. After you complete each one, you move on to the next, in each category. After you complete each one, you then apply for them using the form on MJF site:

I have a chapter of 4, including myself. We have yet to meet together. We work together via the Internet most of the time. I'm trying to get a picnic planned, but it's been so hot here. Hopefully, more ladies will respond. You could try the forum for Chapter Chatter, here is the link:
