I blogged about my latest adventure with Mona yesterday if you are interested. She is the most wonderful cow.

Yay for the good news! She is such a lovely cow, I could not imagine having to get rid of her either. Let us know how the breeding goes and I will say a wee prayer that things work out and Miss Mona has a wee calf in several months. And in the words of a lovely friend of mine from the UK..."Keep your pecker up Dearie!" Things will get better

Mona, Mona, what is going on with you, sweetie? I do hope that the move to the bull will get her in the mood and she will be pregnant in no time! I love the little limerick, Lisa. Too cute! Good luck, Mona and Jenny.

Hey Jenny I went on your blog and enjoyed reading about Mona. I had a question to ask....who is Stewie??? Is it an animal or the picture of the metal rooster. I am confused to what you are refering to. I hope I am not asking a stupid question.

Mona sure is a pretty cow. I don't think I could part with her either.

Sorry! He was a young dexter steer I got about 8 months ago and had over the winter. He was very malnourished when I got him and was fat and sassy by the time he left. He was a good pal for Mona, but nursed on her (I think she considered him a calf..he was that small!) and got distructive with the fences. My neighbor has him out at his ranch now. Not a stupid question at all. I should have explained who Stewie was!

I agree with your friend, Jenny...just because your man goes, doesn't mean your cow should, too. In fact, I think it's all the more reason to keep her! You and Mona have a such a rich and wonderful history--there are no better friends than girlfriends, any way. Whether they're bovine or other!

Haven't mooooved her yet...hopefully this next week she can go on her "visit". Not getting much or any milk after those first two days so milking her now isn't really an option. I am still doing my best to keep her though.
