Jennifer - Give Paul a call 815-625-2607 ASAP. We have about 4 folks that are really interested in her. At this point Paul has said that the first $400 in the driveway will get her.

I'm so glad you'll be bringing someone with you! This is going to be a great weekend! (Blistering HOT, but GREAT!)

Kim - DD named her Cora because of the heart (corazon is Spanish for heart.)

I would be the same way, first 400 wins her. Scott and I wanted to talk it over with a few people and make sure we are ready, if she goes, that's fine, we can wait for another time.
Our friend Matt and his wife will be coming, we are meeting up after church. Matt is a young farmer, great guy. They started with little and are doing good. We get our beef and pork from him.

Hello Cyndi, Well dh's farm friend convince him not to get a milk cow and said it would be too much of a hassle. He basically told him all the negative things. That made me sad, but that's okay. Maybe it's for the best at this point.

A friend was going to join us Sunday at your Homesteader Weekend Lessons, however he forgot he has to be at the Lee County 4-H fair with his son. Oh well.

It will be hot out!

Cora sold for $500 last night to a homesteading family near Springfield. $500!!!

Hot? It's going to be humid & blistering (especially around the cook fire!) We don't have AC but usually have a good wind ... unless it's humid ... We'll have plenty of fans going and the water sprinkler set up for sure!

Cyndi -- Wonderful price for a wonderful little Cora! Have a good homesteading seminar weekend. We're going downtown Chicago on Sunday a.m. to see Millenium Park and the Lurie Gardens -- sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do in spite of the heat. I plan on eating lots of watermelon when we get home -- my summer survival fruit. KL
