the pattern is just a mens scrub pattern- btw thank you michele (aka batznthebelfy) for that tip!!! and the material i'm not sure. i bought a box of lace and fabrics etc at yard sale for 2$. it had this awsome (damask?)table cloth in it that i wanted to use but it wasnt big enough. this material is similiar, very soft to touch and drapes well. it was in some fabric i got from a friend.
BTW- michele's tip was to use any straight leg pattern, shorten the legs add lace and elastic if you want and you have bloomers.
anyhow i can see if i can get a very close up pic of the fabric. maybe someone will know what it is. I have it in several shades of white. these are a yellow tint. i have a creamy tan white, and a kind of grey white. gonna make more of these with those as well. the table cloth was a blueish white and had flowers on it. will try to take a pic of that also. hubby got me a similiar table cloth at a flea market thats bigger, so i will use it also. pics as soon as i can.

I'm drooling over these. Your fabrics look like different tablecloths or the bigger/giant rolls of fabric for upholstery/curtains(?) It makes me want to cut up my curtains (a little Scarlet O'hara) or cut up DH's old scrub pants. I wonder if buying white scrub pants and then altering them like you did would look good...Would go great with an apron or short dress.

Oh Crystal, thanks for sharing. I bought a bloomers pattern and was worried about actually starting it but I love how yours came out! Just gorgeous. I am getting my machine out and will be making my own soon :)

I bought the bloomer pattern from mjf but I can only get it enlarged to 400%, it was gonna cost $80.00 to have enlarged to 800%. So may I ask what pattern you used? I'm dying for a pair. Did you finish the top? Pics? You did awesome, and look really cute.

Oh sweetie, I am very proud of you...they look wonderful & comfy to boot!now tell me aren't they the most wonderful thing to wear????....& don't you feel like a princess while you have them on?....people laughed at me when I 1st started wearing & making them but I adore how they feel...great for movement compared to tight pants..plus you just feel so special when you have them on...good going & can't wait to see what you come up with for that pretty damask table cloth.....Michele'
