My older 2 girls are inviting friends for an overnight camp out. they are setting up an outdoor firepit for cooking, complete with tripod and grill. They have a volleyball net up and a bunch of water balloons filled. This will be an interesting campout. The high school aged girls want to learn, from us, how to cook a meal over the campfire, including coffee.

I will be sitting back, and probably embroidering or crocheting. :) To bad I didn't' make MaryJane's homemade marshmallows yesterday.

Sounds like so much fun! I am so excited for Rosemary to get a little older to do these kinds of things!

When my kids were very young, we camped in tents in the backyard. They still make sheet tents inside.

Today, my youngest one is learning to hand sew. The next older three are at a horse show. I wanted to go, but things get away with me I can't wait to see the jumps on film and how many ribbons the oldest one gets today.

My youngest is 9 and asked me to teach her to sew. She's a bit down today, due to our own camping trip put on delay. We don't have enough tents for the younger ones to join the other girls today.

I'll be back with a recipe the girls made on the campfire this morning.
