ok i am having trouble finding a spoon. i have been to 6 thrift stores, 2 to go and 2 antique stores. the antique stores have them but they want $5-$50 apiece. $5 is for a small teaspoon. i'm keeping my fingers crossed, will keep trying. the thrift stores here are expensive, rarely find anything a real bargin. i've seen things in the thrift stores that are higher than the same piece that is still in the store, if you can imagine that. i was very surprised when i moved here and saw the prices. wish me luck.

This is my first altered spoon as well. I have redone it once already, and lost it in my craft room once, because I put it in such a safe place. I am a mess :)quote:

Sign ups were so long ago that I forgot I signed up. I freaked out when I remembered because I had to get the spoon through ebay, as I cannot find one at the thrift. I needed to give myself lots of time in case the seller was a dud. Wouldn't you know it arrived two days after i bought it, no joke.
My favorite part about this swap is that I took my spoon to Ben Franklin, for finishing touches, and made friends with a lady that works in beads talking about it. She really liked it, and thinks it's finished like it is.
I really hope Barbara likes it, and I'll post pictures after I know she has received it. I hope we all post pictures :)
