Hi all,

Beth, I emailed you back.

Pennie - Wait, what happened? You will need to copy your template while it is flat like a piece of 8 1/2" by 11" paper. You will then fold each of the copies like you did the template, and that will make your book. You decorate your book how you wish, whether it be of things you like or just things you have on hand. By pasting and answering the questions, that is how we are getting to know each other. Please make sure to paste and answer the questions before you print copies.

Hope this make sense. If not, please let me know.

Have a good day!

Hi all,

So here is an example. In this picture my original template is the bottom one. It has all the embelishments on it. So it is kinda 3-D effect. The top one is a color copied one. There are no embelishments on it. I was just testing out how it would look when I printed it and I only made one copy. I now have to add to the original template our questions and answers then I will take it to Office Depot in order to have colored copies made of it.

Once you have your colored copies made, then you have to carefully fold all of them into the book form just like you did for your original template. As long as you have copied your template the extact same (did not reduce or enlarge it) then your book should fold correctly. Mind you that I like to do things a bit bass-ackwards, so my folding may not be like yours. As long as you end up with a book, that is all that matters. :-)

Only read this next part of you have the above stuff down pat. HEE HEE!!!!!

Ok, I have not gotten to this point, but I was thinking that I would try to sew my books on the spine to keep them together and make them look sorta like a real book. I also am going to test gluing the backs of the pages together in order to keep them together. Does that make sense? I like to experiment and it is not required for yours by any means.

Please just have fun in creating these little books!!!!!! We can't wait to see what you all come up with!

Have a good day!

Michelle,

I also need to withdraw from this swap. Between the cost and the number of books, I think it is for the best.

Michelle I worked on a cardboard cover so I can put all the books in one binding but if you put a opening in yours I can add fibers as a detail once I glue all the books together.

Michelle, I hate to bother you but I have misplaced the printed copy of the email listing the questions for out mini books. I have deleted the original email and am not computer savy enough to find it out there in the ether. I would appreciate your resending the questions to me. Thanks

I finished folding my booklets this morning. They will go out in the mail on Monday. This was such a fun project! Thanks to Michelle and Ashley for hosting it! I ended up photocopying mine on my home office printer. The colors turned out much brighter and truer to the original than the samples I tried at UPS and Staples. Can't wait to see them all!

Cheers! ~ Marilyn

Well, it breaks my heart but I've decided I just can't do it and meet the deadline and I don't want to do a sloppy mess just to get it done. This seems like SO MUCH FUN let's just please do it again sometime with different questions, maybe. I DO think I will be missing out on some wonderful little books. Please post pics. Thanks. Joey
