I hear you can batter and deep fry pumpkin and zucchini blossoms. I should try it with the duck fat I have saved...

And the yellow tomato flowers and yellow cucumber flowers and purple eggplant flowers and white pepper flowers..... In short- Love all fo the flowers which then lead to "fruit" setting! Its such an exciting time in the garden- caring for everything in anticipation of the harvest to come. Thanks for sharing Elaine! Smiles,

Jen, they are so good fried! They are not just pretty to look at. If you go out in the morning, and harvest the male blossoms, then wash up and clean the inside, you can batter and fry plain, or stuff with cheese and herbs then batter and fry!! So Yummy!!! We just had them as a light dinner after a ling day on the boat, last week!
The tears I shed then, watered the flowers I harvest now.
