This is what all the fields look like around here:
We have a dam that is giving way not too far from here and I am a bit worried about that and a lot of hay fields are drowned out do to record floods. Eastern Montana may not be putting out any crops this year and many of the area farmers are applying for government aid due to failure to be able to plant!
holy moley !! our Ohio fields aren't much better, lots of corn fields have been not plated or planted late that is a big tractor to pull out of the mud too
OH Alee- I am sos sorry- for you, and all of the farmers out there that this affects.Mother Nature is sure giving us a run for our money lately. It breaks my heart to see things like that- people's livelyhoods depend on their crops. I just dont know how people make it through. It rained all day here yesterday too- and more is expected today. I hope that Dam holds out near you. Prayers to all affected by this and all adverse weather.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..
We just ordered enough wheat to last a few years. I am so glad we did. Looks like it will be awhile before there is any more grown. That's where our wheat comes from. I hope it does dry out soon. If it does, will it be too late to plant?
Alee: Could you please send some of that rain down to Louisiana? We are in a drought. My front yard is burnt. Marly

That about sums up our fields around here too Alee. We have had every possible piece of equipement stuck at least once this year. Thankfully we were able to get most of the crops planted, now we need some sun.

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.
And Montana is having storms again today. What a horrible weather year for our country. In Texas we are in the midst of an 'exceptional' drought that is anticipated to last several years for the southern part of the State to the Rio Grande border. I think food prices will sky rocket this year.. Girls... what can we do to help our families.. I have limited space myself and can't keep livestock.. but who has water in Texas anyway? Mary Madelena
